Renovation of Existing Facilities
As the population you serve changes, food service needs also evolve and your operation must adapt. Your existing facility may no longer adequately meet your current needs, client population, or your vision for the future.
Over the past several years, FSG has gained significant experience in renovating existing kitchens and serving sapces. Our process includes an analysis of existing equipment and conditions. We incorporate our research findings to develop a layout that re-uses equipment where appropriate, leaves existing conditions unchanged where possible, and delivers an upgraded operation within the Client’s budget constraints. When required, FSG is also adept at creating a phasing plan to keep the foodservice operation functioning through the renovation process. We provide an array renovation-oriented services including:

Equipment Replacement Guidance
We work with food service management teams to assess needs, write specifications, and guide the client through the procurement process for individual pieces of equipment, multiple items, and even walk-in coolers and freezers.
Physical Asset Management
Our team will conduct an initial equipment inventory for a facility to gather a complete listing of the models and serial numbers of all food service equipment. From this listing, FSG will work with the client to develop a Comprehensive Food Service Equipment Plan. This document will act as a guide for scheduled preventative maintenance, a master plan to anticipate equipment obsolescence, and a budgeting tool for equipment maintenance and replacement.
Development of Procurement Vehicles
The FSG team has an extensive background throughout various distribution channels within the food service industry. We bring that understanding and knowledge to our clients in the development and implementation of a procurement strategy specifically tailored to that client’s needs.
